Event Agenda
The East Midlands Freeport is a transformative investment for Leicestershire and the wider region, with the potential to create tens of thousands of skilled jobs and attracting significant investment from around the world. It also presents an exciting opportunity for the property and construction industry and is destined to play a major role in the region's economic growth and regeneration for many years to come.
In this session, we will hear from the East Midlands Freeport Chief Executive, Tom Newman-Taylor, who will articulate the advantages of the Freeport in more detail and discuss how the private sector can support its success.
We will also hear from James Arnold, Strategic Director of Place at North West Leicestershire District Council, who will discuss how the area has benefited from excellent road, air, and rail connectivity, and how this has driven regeneration and investment. James will also share the District's approach in seeking to balance growth with securing benefit for local communities and delivering quality new development
We have now had to introduce a £40 Late Booking Surcharge to all our events 2 weeks before the event date, as venues are requiring more notice on capacity and food orders due to supply chain issues.
